Why I’m Thankful to Be Alive
Gratitude is the pathway to abundance–profound words I read on the tag of a bag of Yogi Tea. Today above all days, that mantra is present in my mind. Today, Thanksgiving, is the day when we all stop to think about what we have for which we are grateful and thankful.
I’m infinitely grateful to be alive and well today and every day. Every day I wake up, take a deep breath of life into my lungs, and feel the amazing gift of life I am reminded of how incredibly lucky I am, not only to be alive and capable, but also to be in such an amazing place in my life. Every day is Thanksgiving for me, and it will be until my last.
I often tell people (or am told), “I’m lucky to be alive“. But so are you! We’re all lucky to be alive and the more conscious of that fact we can be the more likely we will be to lead a fulfilled, prosperous life. If there’s anything I’ve learned in the last 20 months, it’s that celebrating what you have is healthier and far more enjoyable than lamenting what you don’t.
Let’s make every day Thanksgiving. Let’s take a moment every day to stop and think about what we have to be thankful for, not just once a year.
